Youre not missing much. Played it for couple hours and either my mind is simply stuck on Nov 15th or it really is meh. Just doesn't seem to have to fun factor that AA and AC had. I dunno...graphics also seem blah.

Its the crescendo for Sony. Early in this gen Sony fans were mocked about an anemic game catalog and hardware that was too obtuse. Now, the building and hoarding of assets has allowed Sony to put together a stable of developers that not only has high number but absurdly great talent. Except that's not true. Every single person I know asks about resolution when buying a TV. Even the older folks at my work (and I'm 40) talk about DVD vs bluray and how much better a picture looks on the latter. Sure, 10 years ago only nerds cared but with social media every single 10 year old sees friends making comments about 1080p and they jump on the bandwagon.

Except the last time consoles came out was 2006. No one used twitter, Facebook and redditt. Now a days, every youngster is online reading up on stories and products.
